1st Day of School
Posted on January 4, 2010
Today’s Aidan’s 1st day at kindy (nursery) and Ashley’s 1st day in K1.
Ashley
As anticipated, Ashley was fine. The minute I sent her to her new class, she joined in with the rest of her classmates, some of them were from her previous class last year (when she was in nursery).
Aidan
As for Aidan, he was the loudest cry baby in his class! I thought he was so ready for school but he proved us wrong today. The moment I wanted to leave, he cried. And when I left and peeped at him from the other end, he started crying on the floor and noone could pacify him. Ai yoooooo! The teacher nor the helper did not seem to be able to handle his tantrums and left him on the floor to cry. So I went to him and calmed him down. Then the teacher offered them biscuits and he was ok cause when it comes to food, he’s pretty darn happy. After 30 mins, I left and decided to wait for his class to be dismissed in 1/2 hr (school hours is an hour for the nursery kids this week). When he was done with his biscuits, I think that was when he realised I wasn’t around and I could hear him screaming from downstairs, “Where mommy???? Mommy!!! Mommmy!” And when it was time to go home, he was screaming and crying from his class to the entrance of the school where I was waiting for him. When we got home, I asked him why he cried and he looked at me and gave me his cheeky smile. I made him promise to not cry tomorrow and he said ok. Let’s hope it would be a better day tomorrow.
