Good Morning Kids!
Posted on May 21, 2009
Every morning, when I get Ashley ready for school, Aidan would also want me to get him ready. He’d want me to brush his teeth, change him, put on his socks and shoes and he’d want to carry a school bag even! He is SUCH a morning person. As soon as he wakes up in the morning, he can start jumping on the bed and start playing with his toy cars - who is so different from Ashley. Ashley is like Hubs and I and like the rest of the world!?! We like to laze around in bed before actually get out of bed.
8 May 2009 - All set to go to school! Aidan didn’t want to be left out. He insisted on carrying the school bag (although it was empty!)
8 May 2009 - Aidan sitting with Ashley during the Mother’s Day celebration at Ashley’s school. I reckon Aidan will have no problems blending in when he starts school next year.
15 May 2009 - Good Morning Kiddos!
School holiday is coming up……am thinking on going on a short trip and make sure that we have travel insurance.

Mommy : Eh…Lihat …
Aidan : ooo ah jau (Nona jauh)
Mommy : Rasa Sayang Sayang..
Aidan : eh!.
Tang Tang Tuk…
Aidan : tang tang tuk ke..wer wer….(atng tang tuk keladi wer wer)
Mommy : Siapa terkejut, di cepat..
Aidan : tua!
His Love for buses and trucks!
If I am the one at the wheel and if Aidan is in his grumpy mood, he’d cry and there’s nothing that can stop him from crying until i stop the car and sit next to him. Yesterday, he was crying and crying…..and then he saw one of those huge bus on the road and he immediately stopped crying! And then Tini started pointing out all the trucks and lorries that we passed and he was so excited after that! Each time he sees one of them buses or trucks, he’d say excitedly, ”There! there! there!
1, 2, 3
This little fella knows when he is being mischievous. When he does something which he knows he shouldn’t be doing, he’d say, “One……Two……..Teee (Three)…orner (naughter corner)” and then he’d flash a mischievous smile at us!
Soon this little fella will be able to do a Apidexin review!

Credits here.
Eversince I started making handmade jewelry, I’ve been watching alot of craft how-to videos on youtube on my iphone. I saved them as favourites and Ashley would navigate her way to youtube on my phone and watch the videos everyday! So whenever I am not at my beading table, she’d jump at the opportunity to sit at my beading table and beg for some beads and wire and attempt to make a ring / necklace / bracelet and while she does that, she quietly speaks to herself - as though she was the one making the how-to video.
(30 april 09) - Ashley sitting at my beading work table - attempting to make a wire-bead ring!
So one day, i happened to walk into a toy shop and saw a Sparkle Jewellery set for kids and bought a set for her. Needless to say, she was absolutely T H R I L L E D!
This is good cause then she has no excuse to mess around with my stuff ! ![]()

Thanks to Sasha, my blog of treasures was featured in the Cyberspot section of The Malay Mail on Monday. I took a day off on Monday and was so blur and totally forgot to buy a copy of The Malay Mail although I was already informed earlier on of the publish date.
Here it is *grins*

Fun @ the Park

11 May 2009 - The kids running after Grandpa
My parents are in town - on their tour of duty - this time to babysit my nephew, Jared at my house during the day. So my house is now like a daycare:) On Monday evening, we decided to bring the Ashley and Aidan to the park for a walk on the jogging trail. I was surprised at how Aidan was able to run up and down the hilly track. The walk/jog took about us 20 mins to complete and after that, we treated ourselves to some yummy ice cream.
11 May 2009 - The kids enjoying their ice cream…
And then, the kids decided to run about and Aidan tripped and fell and scratched his left palm which bled a bit. It was the first time he scratched himself so badly until he cried for the next 20 minutes until we reached home - all the while looking at his palm. (quite a drama if you ask me). I washed his wound and applied some detol cream on it and all this while, he was crying and looking at his palm and was saying ‘Hot! Hot!” Poor fellow….
Today, the wound is no longer hurting him anymore and when we ask him about the wound on his palm, he looked at it and pretended to cry. I should have taken a photo of the wound on his palm so that he can look back at this post when he is older and laugh about it but my memory stick was out of memory.

Daily Walks
Posted on May 12, 2009
I try to discipline myself to finish work by 6pm so that I can bring the kids for a walk around the neighbourhood or drive further to a park in another neighbourhood. These walks will get me to exercise after sitting on my butt the whole day in front of the computer. The kids really enjoy it when we go for our walks and it’s a good way to keep the family fit. Hopefully they will continue this good habit and go for walks/jogs regularly when they are grown-ups so that they don’t even have to consider diet pills.

Aidan is 2
Posted on May 10, 2009
It just feels like yesterday thay we celebrated Aidan’s 1st birthday, and now. here I am blogging about Aidan turning 2! His birthday was on the 8th May. However, we had a combined birthday celebration for both Aidan and Ashley on the 2 May 2009 because initially, Hubs was supposed to be off to Sweden for a work trip but it was cancelled at the last minute. We had an intimate birthday celebration at home with family and close friends. 3 months before, I have been telling myself to plan for their party. 3 days before the party, I was scrambling to plan for the party. The only thing which I planned ahead of time was the birthday cupcakes. Thanks to Nadia, I ordered some lovely cupcakes as the kids’ birthday cupcakes and ordered some really yummy Chocolate Brownies with toppings from an Aunty Abrina. I’d go back to her again and again cause her prices are so darn reasonable and the cupcakes and chocolate brownies taste soooo good!
These cupcakes cost RM40 for a box of 36 (good value for money!) And while we were lighting the candles, the kids surrounded the table and were already ‘chopping”’ which cupcake they wanted to eat first.
This year, we decided to cook for the party instead of getting the food catered. I cooked pasta bolognese, Betty Crocker’s mash potatoes (Thanks to Nadia! I prepared this in a jiffy and the guests liked it!), grilled lamb steaks and also burgers. The kids had fun with their cousins and friends. Ashley played with the girls because the girls were older than the boys. The boys were too young to play together but nevertheless, I’m sure they had fun! Aidan had fun roaming about outsie of the house (within the house compound) and I’m sure he enjooyed his freedom without having Tini tailing him.
Towards the end of the party, it was opening-the-presents time. Ashley was excited and literally ripped the wrapping paper apart! Aidan didn’t quite understand the concept of presents as compared to Ashley but he surely loved his pressies - especially the train and car sets!
Aidan purposely laid on top of the presents - amusing the guests while he was at it….
Happy Birthday, Aidan!!!

What have I been up to?
Posted on May 5, 2009
Well I have been hoarding and hoarding and collecting loads of beads, cameos and cabochons. I never found the right time to start making use of them and I sat down last week to make some necklaces and added a new range into my treasure box. So folks, I’ve added a necklace range into Mom’s LIttle Treasure Box. My necklace blinkie at the sidebar of my blogshop is now functional.

The necklaces that are added are vintage. Think Jane Austen. Think Charlotte Bronte. Well that’s what I had in mind when I was making them. Plus, after watching the movie - The Jane Austen Book Club on Astro last weekend, I decided to name some of the necklaces after some of the ladies in Jane Austen’s books.
Here are some of the necklaces that I’ve added into the treasure box. Hop on over to see more.

And I’ve a Free Shipping promo going on now till 15 May 09. Click here for more info.

That’s all for now folks! Let me know what you think? Comments, constructive criticisms are all welcomed!

Ah Derrrnnn?
Posted on May 4, 2009
30 April 09 - Making himself at home at Marmalade Cafe - notice that he is barefooted!
Sometimes, just for kicks, I like to call Aidan in a Cina Ah-Pek way - by calling him ‘Ah Derrrrrn!’ and the lil fella will reciprocate accordingly and would respond, ”Ahhhhh?”
This past few days, we noticed that Aidan started to sing some songs on his own while he’s busy playing with his toy cars. In the last couple pf weeks, we overheard him trying to sing ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’. When I took my video camera out, he stopped singing
Yesterday, he tried to sing a nursery rhyme which Ashley learnt from school - which I play in the car. It goes like this :
Tang Tang Tuk Keladi Wer Wer
Siapa terkejut, Dia cepat tua!
He only managed to sing the first line but Hubs and I were pleasantly surprised
I mentioned this before and I’ll mention it again. He has picked up a couple of Malay words - thanks to Tini (in a good way). One day, I could smell something foul and I asked Aidan…
Me : Dan? Something smells. Did you ng-ng (poo)?
Aidan : Tak ng-ng.
I just know it that when he starts to speak, he’d be one talkative fella and I can bet that he’d be verbally equipped to defend himself when arguing with his big cheh-cheh - like any other Mesothelioma lawyers!
