Am feeling abit nostalgic now that Aidan is turning 1 real soon. Had the same feeling before Ashley turned 1 too. 
…he was thin & red. This is Aidan in daddy’s arms on the day he was born.
This was taken the next day after he was born i.e. on 9 May 2007.
(23 May 07) - In the mornings, we had to sun him a bit to get rid of the jaundice….Check out how his chest is protruding …or did his tummy stick out more ? 
(11 June 07) - In the 2nd month, Aidan started to fill up. He was still red and had a bit of rashes on his face. We all think it’s due to the lil one adjusting to live outside of mommy. Poor boy. As you can see, that signature frown of his was from birth!
(2 July 07) - In his 3rd month, he was officially bulat!
(13 July 07) - Lil Taukeh in the making at 3 months!
(21 July 07) - Chubblicious Aidan at 3 months!
What a difference 3 months make….

It’s been extremely difficult to snap pictures of Aidan. By the time I adjust my exposure setting, apperture blah blah blah and focus, the moment is gone! So in the ‘Good Morning’ photo of Aidan above, I had to dangle a toy beside my camera.
(16 April 08) - and when I really get his attention - he’d look like this.
When he gets excited with his toys - he’d look like this.
He waved his hands up and down while saying,”ah ah ah ah ah ah AHHHH” - as though he was trying to cast a spell on his mommy:)
This is Aidan analysing his dinasaur - he was trying to figure out which was the best part to bite!
..and he figured it out and YUMMMM…
(16 april 08) - I love his cry-baby face. He’s a bit of a drama-king. When he cries, he’d throw his head backward for effect. *tsk*
..but when he smiles and laughs, his face will light up like this (picture above). I asked him to clap his hands and he was so happy to do it.
(8 April 08) - LOVE LOVE LOVE to see him so comforted by sucking his thumb. He looks so manjaaaaaaa….(I also geram!)
(13 April 08) - I so love this photo. It’s a bit blur and noisy but love how the 2 kiddos stare back at me. Gives me that warm fuzzy feeling

disney on ice

On the 6th April 08, right after I got back from my Hong Kong trip, we brought the kids to watch Disney on Ice at Stadium Bukit Jalil. It featured Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Lilo and Stitch, Lion King, Peter Pan, Little Mermaid and 101 Dalmations. It was Ashley’s second time watching such shows and Aidan’s first experience. Last yearm we brought the lil missy to watch Nemo On Ice. At that time, I was still preggers with Aidan. Ashley was intrigued by the music, singing and dancing and could relate to all of the cartoon characters. Aidan on the other hand was also very caught up with the show for the first 1/2 hr and he actually sat still on my lap and after awhile, his body senget abit and he eventually slept.
I must say though that the show this time wasn’t as interesting as Nemo On Ice. I thought it was a bit boring really but as long as the kids enjoyed it then that’s fine. If they’re happy, we’re happy.

p/s Ashley’s dress is from H&M, Hong Kong - part of the loot I got her from my Hong Kong trip. It was only HKD49!

If mommy’s hair is not accessible, look for alternatives….
(Pic taken on 12 April 08) - I so love to see my lil taukeh suck his thumb!
When we pass him Ashley’s baby doll, he’d hang on to its hair and suck his thumb. I’m not too sure why my kids have a tendency of finding comfort in holding on to some hair - especially mine. Ashley will only want to hold my hair when she’s sleepy and sucks her thumb. Aidan on the other hand will settle for anyone’s hair! - Mine, Ashley’s (if Ashley lets him) and even the baby doll’s hair!

(8 April 08) - Aidan would also settle for Winnie too…He is easily pleased
(8 April 08) - Ashley sort of pulled Aidan to her by using her arm and hence that uncomfortable look on Aidan’s face.
Sidetrack abit…I love how Aidan’s face is all lit up in the picture below…
(27 Mar 08) - It is considered a “Good Morning Aidan” picture cause it was taken at 7.30am when Hubs was about to leave the house with Aidan to drop him off at MIL’s. I love how his cheeks are all scrunged up from his smile….

(29 Mar 08) - Good Night Aidan…..
I love….
- it when he sucks his thumb. He looks so manja when he sucks his thumb…
- it when he laughs and giggle. His eyes will be reduced to tiny slits.
- it when he looks forward to his milk and porridge
- when he shakes both his legs in victory with that cheeky grin of his when we give him something of ours to eat…
- it when he crawls…he reminds me of the baby in Simpsons…
- it when he pouts his mouth and starts to cry when he doesn’t get whatever that he wants. He’d look oh-so pitiful…
- it when he and his big sister fools around and giggle and laugh at one another
- it when he points to the ceiling when we ask him where the light/fan is….
- it when I carry him and he sucks his thumb and lean either his right or left side of his face against my chest. So manja…
- the closeness of him on me when I carry him with the baby sling.
- it when he falls asleep in my arms
- it when he grabs my hair and suck his thumb
- all about my lil taukeh! and I thank God for you!

Oh btw, the print on his tee says “SWAT”…also from Bangkok. I so love that on him..it shows of his lumpy fats lil muscles.

It all started like this…
Ashley : Mommy, I want to do painting. I want to do painting now…
Mommy : Okayyy….
and I proceeded to prep her up for her painting session.
While I prepared her paint on the pallette, she proceeded to take her dress off.
The lil miss managed to pose for the camera while she was in the midst of producing her work of art…
After awhile, she invited a guest painter/artist to join her….

Grandpa helped Ashley with her art work…
And after all is done…..
..the lil missy takes the credit for the masterpiece

his First hair cut

Aidan had his very first hair cut on 23 Mar 2008 - 10 months after he was born. His hair was getting a tad messy and we decided to pop over to Hair Zone at Ikano - who’s owner by the way is an ex-schoolmate of mine back in the good ‘ole KK days. The moment Michael started to get to work with his scissors, poor Dan-Dan boy started to cry as though he was being tortured. By the end of the hair-cut session which was within 5 mins or less, Dan-Dan’s face was full of tears and mucus…..to top that, the hair cut costed us RM18! A rip-off if you ask me - friend or not. We’ll be bringing him to our usual hairdresser at USJ the next time Aidan needs a hair cut…
This was taken on the night he had his hair cut. He was getting cranky and I still insisted on snapping a picture of him becauuusssseee:
- I love the way he look with his new hair do
- His ‘FBI’ tee is my current fav at the moment, coupled with the army trouser. His FBI tee costs 80baht from Bangkok and trousers from Mothercare. I thought he looked pretty rugged - minus the cry-baby face!:) (poor boy..macam kena seksa)

Aidan turned 11 months…

Weight : 10.9kg
Teeth : 4 on top and 2 at the bottom
Diet : 7oz of milk 4-5 times a day, porridge twice a day i.e. lunch and dinner
Crawl & Cruise
The lil taukeh no longer combat crawl. He crawls on all 4s and I alsway find it so amusing when he crawls. Perhaps I haven’t seen Ashley crawl in a long time. When he crawls on all 4s, he does it realy quickly and he reminds me of the baby in Simpsons. He is also crusing very well.
Speech & Recognition
Still babbling consonants - ma ma ma, dah dah dah, ta ta ta, nya nya nya, na na na
And when he wants something, he’d say,”ERRR ERR ERRR ERRR ERRR ERR” until he gets what he wants!!
He’s also very close with me and my MIL. Of course her prefers mommy la (hehehehe)… When he is at MIL’s house, he’d stick to my MIL. When MIL and I are together, he’d want me to carry him. So manja la that boy… Hubs says that he is mommy’s boy!
He recognizes several stuff like the birds (in the cage at MIL’s house), light, fan, air con. Haven’t really read to him yet though (we’re horrid parents) but hey…no biggie.
He loves…
- to clap his hands - I can hear him clapping from my study room now as I type this….:)
- loves to extend both his hands out and say,” ah ah ah ah ah” with a smiley face as though he is trying to cast a spell at us
- to cuddle up with any of us, suck his thumb and just find comfort in holding our hair/clothing…
- to suck his thumb and grab Ashley’s baby doll’s hair! *slap head*
- F O O D!
- to put anything into his mouth! Gotta watch this lil taukeh closely!
- his sister
- to play at Ashley’s ‘office’ area
He dislikes..
- water!
He..
- is a light sleeper and is always the first one to wake up in the mornings!
- is rowing so fast it’s hard for us to keep up ….he is outgrowing his clothes so fast too!
- had his first hair cut on 23 Mar 08. He cried so hard as though we were torturing him - poor lil taukeh…
Ok time for me to make milk for the lil ones…
Happy 11 months Aidan! We all love ya!
