I’ve had many repetitive questions posed to me and I thought I should write a post and respond to them once and for all 
1. Where do I get the digital kits I used to scrap with?

Another easy way is to google for ‘free digital kits’.
If you are too lazy to go to each and every site to track the freebies, then you MUST put http://ikeagoddess.blogspot.com in your Feedreader. This site compiles all the links to freebies on a daily basis! Go check it out.
Apart from that, I also buy the digital kits. There are many online stores you can go to…here are some…
2. How to design the layouts with the digital kits?
I use Adobe Photoshop. You can use other software as well….like Photoshop CS but I only know how to use Adobe Photoshop.
3. Where to get tips on scrapping by using Photoshop?

why the cow????

…because she loves the cow statues at Marche….so if she wants to pay a visit to the cow, she better darn well listen to what the cow wants her to do right? which includes (being conned by mommy) sitting in her stroller….she loovvves to see the cow statues everytime we are at The Curve. She would touch the ears, nose, legs ..you name it but she will never want to sit on top of the cow. ok enough about the cows already…!
Lil Missy’s 2nd Birthday Prep updates..
So what’s new?
I’ve confirmed the venue & menu for her 1-month-earlier birthday party. I’ve sort of decided on which cake to get her. I just need to decide what kind of party-packs to give away during the party and design her birthday invitation card and we’d be sorted. This year, we will be celebrating her 2nd birthday a month early since her birthday is around the same time as my delivery date.
Nice…pretty…
I bought a couple of clothes for Ashley last weekend. They came with the hangers. When we got back home, she took her new clothes out of the paper bag and hung everything by the edge of the dining table. She arranged them neatly in a row….and then picked the clothing one by one, placed it on her body and said to me, “Nice? Pretty?” and I’d reply, “Yes. Very nice.” Then she’d hang the clothes back on the edge of the table and move on to the next clothing item and repeat the whole thing again….I must admit - she picked this up from me. Cause when we are out shopping for her clothes, I’d place it the clothing on her and ask her whether it was nice and pretty…

Last week, while Ashley was drinking her milk while lying down on the cushion and watching the tele, I sneezed a couple of times. Lil Missy stopped drinking her milk, looked towards me and said,”Bless you….bless you…” I didn’t realize what she said until the second ‘bless you’ and I replied,”Thank You!”

Mommy : (before reaching our destination..) Ashley..we’re reaching soon. You must sit in your stroller because the cow said that Ashley must sit in the stroller….. ok?
Ashley : Ok…
Mommy : (*phew*)
And it worked……wonder how this would last

mommy : what do you use when it rains?

mommy : clever girl…who’s the clever girl?
ashley : ash-nee (she pronounces her name that way…)
Nowadays, Ashley can tell us a story based on her storybooks. We’d usually read to her by describing the pictures to her…these couple of nights, when we are too tired to read to her, we asked her to tell us a story instead! Last night, she was telling us a story about the three little piggies…..and there was this part where the wolf wanted to blow the brick house of the 3rd piggie but obviously couldn’t and so the wolf went into the house via the chimney and landed on the fireplace….so was Ashley’s version…
Ashley : Wolf go into chimney….fall down! bum-bum fire! hot! run away! wah-wah! (pretends to cry)

not-so-magic wand…

A few weeks ago, I was boasting about my magic wand. Now, my magic wand has become not so magical after all. Not-so-magical in the sense that I can’t wave my wand and Ashley doze off in less than 10 minutes - like she used to before when we’re on our way back from MIL’s house. These days, she will only sleep on her own terms. e.g.
Me : Ashley? Do you want to ‘oi-oi’ (sleep)?
Usually she’d said yes…(ahh..those were the days…)..now she’d say…
Ashley : Doe-wan (don’t want)
Me : Suck your thumb and go to sleep…
Ashley : Doe-wan
Ok fine…then I’d leave her alone while I concentrate on my driving……after ten minutes or slowly but surely , she’d suck her thumb and go to dreamland by the time we reach home *phew*…

30th week update

I went for my 30th week checkup on Monday. My last check up before that was 2 weeks before that when I was 28 weeks pregnant. When I weighed myself then during my 28th week checkup, I was 62.8KG (which means I had gained 1KG in 1 month - so OK la..reasonable ..) So in my 30th week visit, I thought I would have gained 0.5KG in 2 weeks…but no! When I weighed myself at the clinic, I was a whooping 64.6KG! - that’s like 1.8KG in 2 WEEKS!!! and I have like 10 weeks to go….you do the math! *sigh*….Anyways….
- Weight of big fat mommy : 64.6KG (gained 11.6KG altogether!)
- Weight of baby : 1.4KG (0.2kg in 2 weeks)
- My bump is HUGE! unlike Eileen’s. I don’t even dare to take a picture of myself!
- My appetite is HUGE! and I crave for different things all the time…recent cravings - KFC, Burger King’s Chicken Royale and french fries, the ‘yong-tau-foo’ at the Damansara Uptown mamak, Spaghetti Bolagnese, Pizzas, waffles….
- I walk funny with my new flats from Zara but what the heck!
- I hate my stretch marks - they are itchy sometimes…and I slap more and more of the Loccitane Almond oil each day after I take my shower. First it was 2 squirts…then 3 squirts…then 4….and 5!
- I can sleep well on either sides and even on my back at times
- I’ve no morning sickness or anything
- my legs are getting bigger and bigger - i don’t have swollen ankles - Hubs reckons that I am getting fatter and fatter which is very OBVIOUS since I am pregnant with his son…
- I don’t have any backaches or any aches whatsoever
- I can still fit into my shoes…so no need to buy shoes which are bigger than usual
- I haven’t had any leg cramps..just once during this pregnancy which happened in the middle of the night!!!! damn!
- I’m not constipated - which is good. In fact, my bowel movements are even better when I am pregnant - same as my first pregnancy…*phew*
- During my last scan, doc wanted to get a profile of no.2’s face in 3D but the lilttle baby was lying face down across my stomach. So no, he is not in position yet and we couldn’t get a view of his face…
- I was asked the last time whether I have any breakouts on my face - the answer is no - thankfully! and my nose is not swollen! *phew*
Do I have the jitters? Yes! I have 10 more weeks to go and the realization that I will be delivering in 10 weeks or possible less is slowly creeping up on me. ARGH!….

hahahah..in case you are wondering, I was snapping pictures of Ashley while she was playing on her mat. She kept asking me to ‘chor-chor’ (sit) on the mat with her. I was busy asking her to look up so that she can give me one of her smiles….

Some of you might be abit confused by my previous post i.e. why Ashley said, ‘Aaron cow’…
So..Aaron is my sis’s baby boy…So each time she sees a baby, be it Aaron or any other baby (even her baby doll), she’d refer to the baby as Aaron. Just a couple of nights ago, when she attempted to put her baby doll to sleep while cuddling the baby doll and said, “oi oi oi”, she said, “Aaron….(pat the baby doll at the back) oi..oi ..oi”…
And each time Ashley says ‘Aaron’, she’d related Aaron to ‘Auntie” (my sis). - hence after saying ‘baby cow’, ‘aaron cow’, she’d say ‘auntie cow’.
These are other words she’d string together :
- fall down - pain - wah wah wah (pretends to cry!)
- big bad wolf - huff and puff (she’d blow like how the wolf would blow the little piggies houses down) - naughty! - beat! (LOL!)
- wash hand - dirty - smelly!
- (when we go out under the sun) hot! - covers her eyes - bright!
- raining - umbrella
- ugly witch (from Hansel and Gretel) - naughty - long nose
- chilli - hot

Ashley : Yes
Mommy : Did you touch the cow’s ears?
Ashley : Yes
Mommy : Which cow did you meet?
Ashley : Mommy cow…..daddy cow…baby cow…aaron cow (*Slap head* - She relates Baby to her Cousin Aaron!)…auntie cow (*slap head again!*)
Mommy : Is the cow Ashley’s friend?
Ashley : Yes…
Mommy : Did you sit on the cow?
Ashley : No….sked (scared)
