I’ve been tagged by Julian….so here goes…
1. Are you happy/satisfied with your blog, with its content and look? Does your family know about your blog?
Yes I am quite happy and satisfied with my blog. The only thing is that I’ve not completed the post migration tasks i.e. relinking the old pictures and categorizing the old posts.
2. Do you feel embarrassed to let your friends know about your blog or you just consider it as a private thing?
Not at all.
3. Did blogs cause positive changes in your thoughts?
Yes.
4. Do you only open the blogs of those who comment on your blog or you love to go and discover more by yourself?
Yes and I also discover other blogs if I have the time.
5.What does visitors counter mean to you? Do you care about putting it in your blog?
It shows the number of visitors who visit the blog. I don’t mind putting it in my blog.
6. Did you try to imagine your fellow bloggers and give them real pictures?
No…
7. Admit. Do you think there is a real benefit for blogging?
Yes. The benefits are :
- I have a wider network of parent bloggers to share thoughts and parenting issues with
- Ashley would one day be old enough to read about her mom’s journal on raising her…
8. Do you think that bloggers society is isolated from real world or interacts with events?
Yes…
9. Does criticism annoy you or do you feel it’s a normal thing?
It’s normal. If you open up for comments, don’t expect everything to be nice and rosy…
10. Do you fear some political blogs and avoid them?
Not at all.
11. Did you get shocked by the arrest of some bloggers?
No. This is Malaysia - what do you think?
12. Did you think about what will happen to your blog after you die?
I’ve not thought of that though…but I guess I’d assign my blog a blog custodian.
13. What do you like to hear? Whats the song you might like to put a link to in your blog?
I used to have the “Rockabye Baby” lullaby linked to my blogspot blog. Now…I heard you can’t do it on wordpress blogs.

(16 Oct 06) - Ashley unwrapping her package of books.
Ashley’s interest in books have grown tremendously. Each night before she goes to bed, she’d open up a few books and try to read and point at the pictures. Since her interest in books have blossomed, I decided to buy her more books online. Sometimes, she’d even imitate the way we read in bed - She’d lie down in bed, cross her legs and start reading!
or…she’d sit by the arm rest of the couch and read the newspapers like this!

The last couple of weeks have been pretty bizarre.
First of all, we discovered that we will have a new addition to the family….
Ironically, we made this discovery on the same date as when we first found out that I was expecting Ashley 2 years ago i.e. 24 Sept 2004.
So it seems that when Ashley was innocently pointing to my belly and said,”bay-bee”, little did we know that lil junior has already been conceived.
Second of all, I had the unfortunate luck of contracting the Dengue Fever. I was hospitalized for 5 nights and although my platelet level is slowing climbing up (Thank God), the rashes on my arms and legs looked as though I was barbecued. So when everyone was enjoying their Deeparaya holidays, I was couped up in the hospital room - trying to keep sane. Thankfully, Hubs stayed with me throughout the 5 nights and my parents flew over to KL to the rescue the moment they found out that I was hospitalized. Also amidst all these craze, thankfully, lil junior is safe and his/her heartbeat was beating fast and furious like a race horse.

This post is outdated a bit…..
As of 2 Oct 06, Ashley has turned 16 months! My baby - 16 months old! Time freaking flies!
Emotions
- Ashley can express herself better. If she doesn’t want something, she’d shake her head and say, “no no no”.
- When she wants something, she’d just whine.
- She’s the happiest when she’s walking on her own in public…her face will be plastered with a look of achievement.
- When Ashley throws a tantrum, I reckon she can be in the running for an Oscar award…..she’d drop down to her knees, cry, slap the floor with both her hands and cry and then end up lying flat on the floor.
Languange
These are some of the words she has picked up…
- mine - when grandpa leans on her pillow, she’d wanna push grandpa away and say, “mine mine”…
- heart
- mo mo (no more)
- book
- he-ho (hedgehodge)
- house
- tee (auntie)
- mommy (she has finally start to call me mommy as oppposed to mimi). Sometimes, when I am in the kitchen and she doesn’t has access to it because the doorway has been blocked by a child-proof gate, she’d climb on the gate and scream, “mommy mommy mommy mommy mommy…….hi!”
Likes
- Ashley loves to read/look at books. She’d pick them up and would either look through the book herself. When she sees something familiar, she’d say it out e.g yeow yeow (cat), dog, star, heho (hedgehog), house, etc
- She likes to climb up and down the couch
- She likes to sit in a basket in MIL’s house and play with her toys! and when she stands up, she’d clap her hands…..I love that look she has when she clap her hands…
Tricks
- Ashley knows when she is not supposed to be doing something. E.g. she loves to climb on top of boxes or the arm-chair and start clapping her hands - to congratulate herself!
- When we watch the tele, she loves to disable the volume and quickly run away…then we’d turn it back on again and she’d do it again!
- Ashley has not refused any kinds of food from us. So far, she likes to eat anything that is edible.
Dislikes
- I dunno why but she doesn’t seem to like Udis, my parent’s hired help. Each time Udis tries to play with Ashley, Ashley would try to hit her.
