again..this morning, ashley greeted me with her sweet smile of hers… thankfully, i had the camera within reach and managed to snap some pics of her while she was at it…it’s such a nice feeling when she responds with a smile and/or with a half laugh (half laugh because she had a bigger smile minus the sound to go with the laugh..that’s why i call it half laugh.. )

ashley’s got that “attteeeennnnnTION!” pose in the picture on the left… and the “hail hitler” pose in the picture on the right! hehehe

when it comes to toys, musical mobiles etc…ashley is now even more attentive and active…she’s getting more and more amused by the musical mobile although we play it all the time when she is lying awake in her cot. she’d also do her R2D2 number - moving her arms and legs like a robot…hahahhaha

yesterday (30 july 2005) was the first time i saw ashley laugh (minus the sound)! it was such a joy to see her laugh for the first time and she was polite enough to smile and laugh at me while i entertained her!

we went to The Curve in the afternoon to have our lunch at O’Briens….and it so happened that the finalists of the Malaysian Idol were all there at The Curve to perform….believe it or not..while they were performing (with the loud music and all)…ashley was sound asleep in daddy’s arms!! amazingly the loud music didn’t bother her one bit!!!!

can’t believe it’s friday again!

this is ashley this morning at 8:00am…i put her on our bed while i did the household chores…twin is right..i need to get a baby monitor….cause before i went downstairs, i placed pillows around her JUST incase she decides to do one of her stunts and i kept going up to check on her every 10 - 15 mins! i suppose it is good exercise for me as well

today is the first day ashley is mitten free! i decided to trim her nails again this morning as i didn’t trim it enough the other day….(no byrd..i am not addicted to cutting her nails - just obssesed with it not short enough and afraid that she’d scratch her face)…did it while she was sleeping soundly this morning…(she slept from 8am - 12:30pm!!)..perhaps she got her days and nights the other way round…

just when i said yesterday that ash could sleep throughout the night…she didn’t last night!!! she kept crying and would sleep for a while then wake up crying again and then would fall asleep in daddy’s arms (and daddy fell asleep while ash was on him might i add…;) ) …*SIGH*…poor baby….but now..(this morning)..she is sleeping like a baby since 8:00am…. ???? what’s up with that? colic only chooses to torment babies in the evenings/nights???? either that or i might have jinxed us by speaking out too soon - that she can sleep through the night!!! no wonder some people believe that it is better to hush instead of saying good things about our little ones……but anyway..heck cares! if you don’t say good things about your baby…what else are you going to say about your baby ??? bad things??? hell no….

anyway…so this morning..both keet and my eyes resemble the panda bear’s eyes!

when to remove the mittens…???

i got a call from my mom and she mentioned that my cousin, andrew (who is 3 months old) had his nails cut at 2 weeks old and didn’t wear mittens after that. till today…i still let ashley wear her mittens - considering that i only just cut her nails for the very first time yesterday!!….so when do we get them off their mittens? my MIL advised that we should take the mittens off and let ashley suck her thumb….

8 weeks old!

ashley is 8 weeks old today! so fast huh????!! i’m wondering..ashley is very good during the day i.e. she’d sleep, drink, play awhile…and then go back to sleep and this cycle continues till evening at about 9ish…she’d be quite fussy until 12 midnight i.e. she’d cry and cry and try to pass gas..but why does it only happen during the evenings only???
