Last night, Keet and I attended the 2nd session of our ante natal class at DSH. They taught us the different types of breathing method for different stages of labour, taught us how to relax and also perform exercises….It was quite information…the exercise part was a bit tough cause we mothers had to lie down on a mat on a floor and I had a hard time lying down straight on my back cause the floor was too hard and my belly felt uncomfortable…..overall..I survived!
Let’s see whether I can remember the different types of breathing method :
1. Threat breathing
2. SOS breathing
3. “I won’t push” breathing
4. pant-pant-blow breathing
5. and lastly the block and push??? breathing…..can’t remember whether that’s what you call it…

Lately, I have been craving for some Italian food…Thankfully…my sis cooked Spaghetti Bolognese for dinner last night. It was so good I had 2 portions!!! But I did indeed suffer after that cause my stomach felt soooooooo uncomfortable! Serves me right I suppose for being sooo greedy!

ARGH! That’s a side-profile picture of me….hmmm..yes…I gained 10KGs….check out the size of the arms…and also belly….my wedding band has begun to feel tighter round my ring finger. From the size and shape of my belly, everyone seemed to have guessed correctly that I am expecting a girl.

This is the latest ultra sound scan of baby Ashley which was taken on 12 Mar 05. It was when the doc confirmed that we are expecting a baby girl. The picture may look a bit weird but it is actually a combination of 2 pictures. The left hand side of the picture is the picture of Ashley’s legs with her labia in the middle - the doc took this picture to prove that it’s a girl…the picture on the right is a picture of Ashley’s head only…

Baby socks and mittens..

Body suits
Eversince we found out the the sex of the baby, I have been buying girlish stuff for baby Ashley….I couldn’t resist the Mothercare socks and Gold Bug mittens…they are so cute and tiny! Acting on some advice, I headed to FOS and true enough, they had Old Navy & Baby Gap body suits going for like RM9.99 a piece of 2 for RM16…since Ashley’s gonna outgrow them pretty fast anyways, I decided to buy some for her..managed to only pick the nicer ones…I’ll check out FOS again this weekend to see if they have anymore new stuff! heheheh…

As though my belly can’t get any bigger…it has to expand beyond what I thought is possible when I sneeze…OUCH!!!!!….
And lately, I have my belly has been making me feel quite uncomfortable - as though there is a ligamen somewhere in my belly which is stretching….
And I always have got to peee more than the usual! I was at KLCC the other day and had to find the nearest toilet and it soooo happened that I entered the premier tolilets! and had to pay RM2 per entry - as opposed to the free ones which are located elsewhere within the shopping mall - but I really had to to go…..anyways…thank goodness cause there wasn’t any queue (the free ones are always full of people waiting in line to use the WC..)…and they even had Body Shop soap, lotions and perfume in the premier ones…not bad huh?

I think I have been experiencing the Braxton Hicks - I am not too sure about it cause what I know is what I have read in the books…..but I did feel that my belly started to harden for 1-2 minutes…it didn’t hurt though…just felt a bit weird…
It has been getting rather uncomfortable for me to sleep at nights…I’d wake up in the mornings with a stiff back from lying on my side all night…
The last 2 days were not particularly good for me as I had alot of wind in my belly and had a diarrhea! but thank goodness it has settled down now…
I think my belly button is about to pop out…..it’s funny cause the skin surround my belly button is slightly white in colour and it actually itches…I would take a picture of it and post it in this blog but am wondering whether it would look gross? …heheheh…oh what the heck..will do it later…
I am also beginning to waddle like a big fat duck! ARGH!

Weight = 62.7kg
Weight of baby = 1kg
Last check-up = 12 March 2005

Finally, we know the sex of the baby and it’s a girl. (Will post the picture of the scan soon). The baby has already turned i.e. she is basically upside down now. See…I knew it’d be a girl………I guess the mother’s instincts are always right!

My legs have started to swell due to water rentention…..especially if I’ve walked alot or if I have been standing….*SIGH*….I guess it will be a matter of time before my face swell up - including my nose! ARGH….it’s such a weird feeling having water retention especially on the legs. I noticed that if I were to squat down even for a couple of seconds, my calves especially feel as though they are going to explode!
Lately, Keet and I have been watching at least 2 episodes of Lost every night and the baby has been kicking his/her way throughout the movie! These days, it has been getting more uncomfortable to sleep…..my belly is suddenly exploding in size…..looks kinda scary…I feel huge and clumsy.
My appetite is increasing and I fear I have already gained the 3 KGs which I was supposed to gain by the 9th month……we’ll see how it goes - my next checkup is on 12-MAR-05. This time, I hope we’ll get to confirm the sex of the baby…
