Yesterday, while I was having a discussion with a colleague of mine, I glanced at my reflection on a glass door and realised how much rounder my face is…!? What’s up with that? I mean I see myself in the mirror everyday anyways…

Bloated

These days, especially after a full meal, I feel soooo bloated..and worse still is when I yawn, my belly will increase in size within those few seconds and it’d feel as though it’s gonna explode! Does that mean that I over-ate? Or am I just plain full after a meal?

Also, I failed to mention that now that my tummy muscles are somewhat embedded somewhere in my belly….it is a challenge getting up when I slouch on the couch…(yea yea I am not supposed to slouch…) I have to either manouver my way to get up sideways..or if Keet’s nearby, I’d get him to pull me up! Lazy? or just restricted in mobility?

I’ve learnt that pregnant women are cut a lot of slack..which is good…:)

I am currently now at work and I am soooo bored..it’s not that I have nothing to do..I do…I am just plain lazyyyyyyyyyyyy! Productivity level at work is sub-zero!

25 weeks

Today, I am exactly 25 weeks pregnant. Funny thing is my belly is still unnoticeable to most people….yesterday, while I was walking Sydney (my dog), I passed my neighbour and she asked me when I was due. When I told her that I am due on 2nd June, she practically laughed out loud and asked whether I was jesting because she could hardly notice by belly…hmm…and she commented that my baby must be vveerrryyyyy small - in which I retaliated (politely by the way…..) that the baby is normal. In fact I am pretty tired of people commenting that my belly is small - it’s as though something is wrong with me or my baby….sigh….

We did some baby shopping last week and bought a number of stuff e.g. diapers, nappies, nappy liners, body shower gel, towels, baby clothing, feeding bottle cleaners, baby clothing detergents etc….I must say that it was pretty exciting going for shopping for the little one….however, since we still do not know the sex of the baby, we bought neutral-coloured clothing for the baby.

The baby has been kicking more often these days…especially before I go to bed! But it’s a good feeling to be able to feel the baby kicking…:)

As today’s the first day of Chinese New Year, there were hardly any chinese food restaurants which were open for dinner and so we decided to go to a mamak at Bangsar. While we were standing outside the mamak restaurant, a Malay girl commented to her boy-friend how fat I was and how I had a big tummy….I should’ve gone straight up to her to give her a piece of my mind! Well I would’ve dunnit if she said it a wee bit louder…cause I dunno whether I was just being paranoid or not…dammit! I am 6 months pregnant for GAWD’S sakes!

LARGE HIPS!!!

It’s Chinese New Year and I am officially 6 months pregnant today. Had dinner at my in-laws place last night and my sister commented that my hips are larger than before!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! ..Apart from that, I feel great…baby’s kicking as usual.

Late nights….

I am beginning to sleep later and later in the night…some say that the later you sleep, the later the baby is going to go to bed when he/she is born…is that a fact or just crap??? I dunno..I guess I’ll just have to find out later…I think it’s bullshit though…but we’ll see…However, I guess I had better cherish all the sleep I can get now cause the phrase “sleep throughout the night” will not exist in our vocab once the baby is born!

Is it a boy or a girl??????

Today, I went for my routine checkup with my ob/gyn and the Dr was still unable to confirm the sex of the baby because of the position of the baby’s legs…I was so looking forward to know the sex of the baby so that I can start on my shopping…looks like I have to wait for another month!!! Oh well..the baby is fine and was on all fours during the ultrasound scan.

Burger again!!!

Yea..I had another burger today. That’s 2 days in a row! ARGH! Please please please..I don’t wanna look like Princess Fiona in Shrek with a big stubby nose!!! Anyway…here I am on a friday night! Darn! Keet’s out drinking with the guys and I am pathetically at home…it’s not fair is it?

I’ll be visiting my ob/gyn tomorrow morning for the usual checkup and will be able to know the sex of the baby….will it be a boy or a girl???? Hmmmm….I was told to do baby shopping before I’m 7 months pregnant…which leaves me a month to do all the baby shopping! Stopped by Little Luxuries at Plaza Damas at Sri Hartamas this evening..they sell really pretty baby stuff…..and bloody hell? A Pali baby cot from Italy costs RM2k+? Big rip-offs…

Goodies!!!

It feels like Christmas all over again today. Corrinne sent me a package full of maternity wear from London! She IS a life saver!!! Well if you’ve seen the collection they have here at the local maternity stores, they are indeed a sorry sight…and out of the thousands of maternity wear out there at the local stores..there’s probably 1 out of 50 which is decent! Thanks to the Malaysian post services, the package arrived at my door step…however, the postman somehow (although I can hardly believe it is possible…) overlooked Sydney, my dog…..and threw the whole damn package into my house compound and Sydney had the “privilege” off literally RIPPING the box apart! She even ripped the plastic bag in which contained the clothing but SURPRISINGLY, she didn’t rip the clothes apart….they were just spread out on the garage… and miraculously without a trace of a paw print or a bite mark! PHEW! Thank Goodness for that!!!
