4 July 2010 - Cousin Aaron (3y 7m) and Aidan (3y 2m)
Love Love Love LOVE this picture of the boys!
They’re into Ben 10.
They’re into cars.
And look how tightly they have their arms around each other?
Classic.
Seeing the kids growing so fast before my eyes makes me realize that I’m no longer young!
Speaking of age, this photo was taken during my birthday dinner with family.
A year older, hopefully a year wiser and I definitely need to start using a good wrinkle cream. Fine lines on my face are slowing creeping up on me.

day 4 - school holidays - How to prevent the kids from destroying the memory foam mattresses in the house…
Posted on June 12, 2010
Day 4 was easier cause my sis dropped Aaron off at our house in the morning for 1/2 day. So the kids played together, watched Toy Story cartoon and were merry together. Thank God they didn’t jump on our memory foam mattresses which have memory foam toppers on them.
In the afternoon, we mobilized the whole troop and drove over to my sister’s place for the afternoon. I worked from there while the kids played with new toys (Aaron’s toys) and also swam to their hearts content at the pool. To top that, after dinner, we brought the kids to an indoor playground. Unfortunately for Aidan though, he slept (for the night) in the car before we reached the mall (7pm) so he didn’t get a chance to play at the indoor playground. Ashley and Aaron however played for another 1.5 hrs at the indoor playground! They chased each other, climbed up and down, slid down the slide, crawled through tunnels and jumped on trampolines which is way better substitute for memory foam matresses.
At the end of the day, the kids throughly enjoyed themselves and slept in the car on the way back home
P/S No photos posted for day 4 as I shot them in raw and I haven’t am too lazy to converted them yet into jpg format.

it’s not fun if you don’t get to see your kids having fun

1 Mar 2010 - The kid having fun at the pool with Grandpa
When my parents are in town, everyone’s happy.
We are well taken care of in terms of food (mom cooks yummy dishes!).
The kids get to play with their grandparents for a change.
Ashley complained to me the other day that i didn’t allow her to swim in the pool as long as Grandpa. Tough. My response? “Am I grandpa? No. I am Mommy.”
Tough love.

One of the advantages of being a work-from-home mom for an MNC company is that I can work from anywhere as long as there is an internet connection and I am contactable by phone (and OF COURSE as long as my objectives are met, my assignments are completed on time). So one sunny afternoon, I didn’t want to miss seeing the kids having fun at the pool with their grandpa so I decided to work from the poolside. (Yes there was an internet connection).
Indeed, it’d not fun if you don’t get to see your kids having fun.
So my office furniture that afternoon were the poolside table and chair
Nice!

I’m thankful…

16 Feb 2010 - Picture is a bit blur but I love how happy Ashley and Nicole looked together!

16 Feb 2010 - The Cousins - so happy to be able to get together during our Chinese New Year gathering. When these 4 get together, they’d play like there is no tomorrow. They’d be bursting with energy and laughter - the things that they do together are natural fat burner in itself. That’s why these kids are lean-mean machines. (Although some beg to differ when it comes to Aidan.)
…for my healthy kids.
..to be able to work from home and spend time with the kids.
..to be able to have the means to provide for the kids.
…to be given the chance by God to have the kids enrich our lives.
….for my kids.
Count your blessings everyday! Life is too short and fragile.
Live in the moment and leave no room for regrets.
I’m not perfect. I forget sometimes. But I try as hard as I can. Everyday.

remember Jared?
Posted on March 8, 2010

19 Feb 2010 - My nephew, Jared with his daddy
Remember him? It seems like he was born not too long ago and he is already 1y 2 months! The kids LOVE their cousin and each time we mention about Jared, Aidan would like, “I LOVE Jared.” - something which he picked up from his cheh-cheh. We used to entertain him while he sat on his bouncer or laid on the bed. These days, the little one is bum-shuffling around the house, picking stuff up along the way to play with. Looks like his parents will have to store away the baby-unfriendly furniture for now and probably look up www.modernfurnitureclassics.com to see if there are any suitable ones as replacements. In no time, he will be able to walk and run and play with his other cousins.

edible art?
Posted on July 9, 2009
After my 1st batch of polymer clay charms got burnt in my toaster oven, I was on a mission to buy myself a mini oven (with proper temperature control and timer) and then my mom reminded me that I actually have a mini oven tucked away deep inside one of our cabinets. Phew! So off I went making some polymer clay cupcakes, candy, roses and a hamburger! I baked them in the oven according to instructions, glossed it with clear varnish and voila! I’m pretty happy with how they turned out considering that it was my 2nd attempt at making these clay babies….
The cupcakes look yummy - to me anyways…but no, they are not edible
and if you do consume it, you may have to resort to Colonix to detox your digestive system!
On another note, look who visited us the other day…
7 July 09 - This is Jared at 5+mo! This lil KFP (Kung Fu Panda) has grown sooo much since the last time I posted about him!
P/S His KFC drumstick thighs make me want to sink my teeth in them!

water fun
Posted on March 24, 2009
I was on leave yesterday. After Ashley finished school, we all headed to the mall for lunch and then headed over to my sis’s place for some water fun. Aidan fell asleep in the car on the way and continued to sleep when we arrived at my sis’s place. Since he was in deep sleep, Ashley and I decided to go into the pool first…
And then Aidan woke up…and decided to join us in the pool.
Look at his face…still looking a bit blur…staring into the pool…clad in his swim diaper.
Slowly walking towards the pool…
Aidan chilin’…..He was like this most of the time…he enjoyed floating around the pool…
Aaron (my nephew) looking into the pool - thinking twice whether he should go in or not….
After swimming, we had dinner and let the kids have some fun by the KLCC water fountain.
By the time they got into the car to go back home, they were all set to knock off for the night ![]()

Baby Jared
Posted on February 12, 2009
Welcome to the world, Baby Jared!
On the `17th January 2009, Baby Jared was born. What does this mean to the kids?
This means that Ashley and Aidan will have a playmate - as soon as Jared is old enough to start playing with them.
This means that Ashley has a new baby to fascinate over. Up till the day Jared was born, she was fascinated with Keith and Kyan (A friend’s twin sons). Ashley even named her 2 baby dolls after Keith and Kyan.
This means that one of Ashley’s baby doll will be renamed from either Keith/Kyan to Jared - and mind you, it has done it.
