I just realized that today is exactly 1 month since I left my full time job of 20 years! 20 years! I feel old. When I talk about the company I used to work with, I always talk about it as though I am still working at the company!
Anyway, so it’s been a month since I became a full-time stay at home mom. So what have I been up to?
Apart from the usual household chores (I am maidless. I am the maid.) and school runs (I don’t have a driver. I am the driver), I have been meeting up with family and friends for lunch. I have also been busy teaching people how to start a chemical-free life journey.
If you’re following me on Facebook and/or Instagram, you’d know that I am into Young Living Essential Oils. I was introduced to it 5 years ago by my sister. At that time, I thought she was nuts or possessed for paying RM600+ (then) for some oils.
Sorry Jie…if you’re reading this. Seriously. I thought you were nuts. I was like ‘Whatever….’ followed by some eye-rolling action.
Then 2 years ago, a dear friend gifted me a Premium Starter Kit.
I was like ooooh! They look pretty, they smell great!
My interest wasn’t piqued at the time due to some distractions which I can’t really recall now. But you know, the timing wasn’t right.
Then recently, I started reading about it and you know, once you read something, you can’t unread them and I realized that these oils are so in line with our family’s natural health and wellness journey. So I jumped right into it.
To cut the long story short, in addition to what we are already doing now to support my family’s health and wellness with natural products, we now use Young Living Essential Oils and NO, I am not anti medicine or whatever …like if my child’s leg is broken, hell yes I’m going to bring him/her to the hospital to be treated.
So because of my passion for these oils, I now teach people how to lead a chemical-free life journey. And yes, it is a journey. And I teach people how to embark on that journey one step at a time.
Do I enjoy being a SAHM?
I dunno about you moms out there but I LOVE it. Perhaps my circumstance is different from others but whatever it is, I LOVE IT (for now).
I am cherishing it every day. Counting my blessings.
